Java Consultant required on a contract basis, to deploy a Java based intraday pnl and risk system focused on commodities within a leading global Hedge Fund.

5 DAYS A WEEK ONSITE - MAYFAIR

Responsibilities:

• Take part in the development and enhancement of a next gen distributed risk and pricing platform.
• Ensure FICT provides continuous, uninterrupted, firm wide risk and P&L.
• Work closely with other global FICT research, Tech teams, Middle Office and Trading.
• Design and implement, low latency, fault tolerant, loosely coupled distributed systems.

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of experience developing in Java
• Experience using IOC within Java, they use spring, guice or equivalent is good
• Experience in Multi-threading, Client Server and Distributed computing
• Experience using distributed caching systems, we use Gemfire. Will accept candidates who have used REDIS or equivalent
• Experience using linux and deploying Java services on physical hardware
