Lead Data Scientist (Permanent)

Location: Surrey Country: UK Rate: Up to £75k per annum
 

Eames is currently partnered with a leading global personal lines insurer who is looking for a Lead Data Scientist to take ownership of the development and implementation of data science solutions.

This is a Surrey/hybrid role. You will be required in the office 1 - 2 times per week. The salary up to £75,000, depending on experience plus bonuses and benefits.

The role:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities, design experiments, and develop analytical approaches to address specific challenges.

Influence business stakeholders in shaping innovative analytics opportunities aligned with strategic objectives, evaluating potential, scoping projects, and defining deliverables.

Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models using Azure Machine Learning and open-source stack, ensuring robustness through statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.

Coach and mentor data science team members, fostering their growth and skill development while delivering impactful insights through data visualizations and dashboards.

The candidate:

Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong track record in leading and delivering advanced data science projects, particularly within the Insurance Domain.

Proficiency in Python or R programming languages, extensive experience with ML algorithms and models, including Regression, Tree-based, Unsupervised, and NLP.

Understanding of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, experimental design, and expertise in machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
